Simulation: Fad or Useful Education

Is simulation the next educational fad or is it a useful educational tool? Many people associate simulation with expensive high tech mannequins and equipment but is simulation more than just the latest gadget? Simulation is a wide variety of educational tools that provide the ability to expose our students to real world situations in a safe environment. In this introductory session, we will focus on what constitutes simulation, the many uses of simulation as an educational tool, and how to integrate simulation into our current curriculum.
